Why visit Húsavík? Húsavík is the perfect location for whale watching in Iceland. The town is situated on the eastern shore of Skjalfandi Bay, where you can find over ten different species of whales, including Blue Whale, the largest animal ever known to have existed. Húsavík is also home to the Icelandic Phallological Museum, the only one of it’s kind in the world. From Húsavík, you can take one day trips to lake Mývatn, Ásbyrgi canyon and Dettifoss waterfall, the largest waterfall in Europe.
