Arnþrúður Dags opens her exhibition of paintings in Husavik art museum today. Arnþrúður was born in Húsavík in 1977 and this is her first exhibition. The exhibition is open on weekdays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and is on the top floor of the Húsavík Museum house.
You can now buy Whale Watching tickets at Husavik Guesthouse. We sell tickets for both North Sailing and Gentle Giants at the same price as at the harbor so you won’t have to wait in line.
The first guest of the summer arrived at Husavik Guesthouse last Sunday and stayed with us for three nights. They were father and son from Norway who wanted to visit Iceland for whale watching. The guesthouse is now open for guests after months of work renovating the house. We have had a lot of bookings for June, July and August, but we still have some rooms available so we hope to see you this summer.
We love this guy. Watching this video gives you some warm feeling, like all the world’s problems have disappeared for a while. Matt, if you ever visit Husavik, you can stay with us for free!

Painting the guesthouse
Next summer, we will open our doors to the first guests at Húsavík Guesthouse in Húsavík. The guesthouse is an old house, built in the year 1947, that we are now renovating. We used last summer to work on the garden and paint the outside of the house, but for the past few months we have been painting the rooms, picking curtain material and driving with our new beds from Reykjavík, all the way to Húsavík.
We got our first booking just a few days ago, 4 people from Belgium. Needless to say, we did the happy dance. We can’t wait to see them, we can’t wait to see you and we can’t wait for the summer!
